The Setting
Yoho House is set on an historic eighty acre farm with two spring fed creeks that surround the home. It’s a sanctuary of peace and tranquility; the perfect setting for slowing down, reconnecting, day dreaming and immersing yourself in nature in the little known town of Delamere on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.
We love our holidays at Yoho House. We have picnics by the creeks, meander through the local pine forest, cuddle on the couch, swim and fish at the nearby beaches, read or nap under the old Elm tree, drink wine by the fire, laugh together, collect mushrooms, sleep in and take long relaxing baths.
The House
Yoho House has been lovingly renovated and decorated with treasured pieces and furnishings from local artists, Australia and around the world. Yoho House is our own personal getaway, so no detail has been spared. It has fine linens, cozy blankets that feel like warm hugs, bespoke artwork from local artists, books to inspire you, games to test your skills and special little treasures fill each room that have been collected on the farm or near by.
The best views are taken in from the main living area where you can sit on the couch and watch the sun set behind the pine trees and then as a flush of sorbet colours fill the sky. Or from the kitchen you’ll be able to see our Belted Galloway cows (the teddy bears, as we call them) munch on the fresh green grass on the rolling hills. As you take a relaxing bath you can sit and listen to the local birds and the creeks babbling over rocks in the distance.

About us
We are a family of four, with two young boys. Laurise is a former Journalist with a love of writing and being creative and Robert works in the building industry but is also a part-time farmer. It has always been our dream to live on a farm and now we have two, one in the Adelaide Hills and Yoho Farm at Delamere. We always wanted our own patch of paradise to get back to the basics and live off the land but also to be guardians of the land. We love trees, nature, animals, history, pottering, gardening, reading, cooking, our family and friends, laughing, listening, day dreaming, swimming, fishing, wine and picnics.
